Food, Land and African Liberation
Food and water is a foundation to human life. But how do we nourish ourselves when our capacity to grow food is increasingly threatened by industrial agriculture, mining and the poisoning of our lands, waters and soil?

It is Africans on the frontlines who are resisting those state and corporate structures and bringing us closer the futures we know are possible. From agroecological practices which restore and feed communities, to indomitable resilience from communities protecting their communities and their lands, we know the solutions are within us.

To celebrate the gift of water, food and life and to get real about what we need to be doing to sustain it Africans in the Diaspora brings together three activists moving towards liberation through soil and solidarity.

This is the third edition of our Chop It Up series.

*Interpretation is available in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese for this event.*

Speakers include: Miriam Miranda from Organización Fraternal Negra Hondureña (Black Fraternal Organisation of Honduras), Nonhle Mbuthuma from the Amadiba Crisis Committee and Mariama Sonko from Nous Sommes la Solution (We Are The Solution).
